Advance payments to arrive by October 20

Approximately 5.04 billion euros in advance payments for the 2026 PAC aid are expected to arrive in the accounts of 261,723 agricultural holdings by October 20, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.

Payments scheduled for late October

These payments are scheduled to be made between October 16 and October 20 by the Agency for Services and Payments. The advance rate for the first pillar of the PAC has been increased from 70% to 75%, while the rate for the natural handicap compensation allowance (ICHN) remains at 85%, the maximum allowed by the European Union, as stated in a Ministry of Agriculture statement.

Most applicants to receive payments

Among the 261,723 holdings that will receive the first wave of payments, 9,950 are still under inspection. This means that 98.2% of applicants for the basic income support aid will receive their advance, compared to 97.5% in 2025.

Remaining payments to follow in December

The remaining payments are expected to be made starting in the first half of December.
