Revenue growth in Europe

OPmobility reported a 3.2 percent increase in consolidated revenue for the third quarter of 2026, reaching 2.44 billion euros. This growth was primarily driven by Europe, which makes up half of the company's operations, where sales rose by 8.6 percent.

Decline in Chinese revenue

Revenue in China fell by more than 22.3 percent during the same period, attributed to a significant drop in production and vehicle sales in the country. However, the chief financial officer, Olivier Dabi, noted that this decline was offset by strong export growth, with China more than doubling its exports compared to the previous year by the end of September.

North America revenue drop

In North America, revenue decreased by 4.8 percent, due to reduced production, lower demand, and an uncertain commercial environment influenced by tariffs. The company also confirmed a new target for its operating margin, aiming for between 430 and 450 million euros, down from 490 million euros in 2025.

Strategic growth and international presence

Félicie Burelle, the group's chief executive officer, highlighted the slight growth in the third quarter as a demonstration of the company's strong international presence and the complementarity of its activities. Sales increases were driven by all divisions, including modules, energy tanks, and especially external systems and lighting.

New acquisition and expansion plans

OPmobility announced an agreement to acquire the lighting business of South Korean Hyundai Mobis for 390 million euros, with the deal expected to finalize in the second half of 2027. The company operates 152 factories and 40 research and development centers globally, employing 38,100 people across 28 countries. It recently inaugurated its fourth plant in Morocco and plans to open a new energy tank production site in India by the end of the year.
