MSI unveils new AI-powered 2-in-1 laptop

MSI has started accepting pre-orders for the Prestige N16 Flip AI+, a high-end 2-in-1 laptop powered by NVIDIA's new RTX Spark ™ superchip. This chip enables artificial intelligence processing directly on the device, eliminating the need for cloud-based computing.

AI processing on the device

The RTX Spark ™ N1X chip combines an NVIDIA Grace processor with an NVIDIA Blackwell RTX GPU. It offers configurations with up to 6,144 GPU cores and a 20-core CPU, or 5,120 GPU cores and an 18-core CPU. The device can achieve up to 1 petaflop of AI performance in FP4.

Memory options for different users

The laptop offers three unified memory configurations: 32 GB, 64 GB, or 128 GB. The 32 GB version is suitable for everyday tasks like document processing, while the 64 GB option targets content creators and the 128 GB version is aimed at researchers and AI developers.

High-resolution touchscreen

The 16-inch Tandem OLED touchscreen can reach up to UHD+ resolution (3,840 x 2,400) on the largest configurations. It supports a variable refresh rate from 30 to 120 Hz, full DCI-P3 color coverage, and a VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 certification.

Included stylus for creativity

The Prestige N16 Flip AI+ comes with the MSI Nano Pen stylus at no extra cost. This is notable as few similar devices include a stylus. The stylus fits into a dedicated compartment under the chassis for charging and easy access.

Lightweight design and long battery life

Despite its powerful components, the laptop is relatively lightweight at around 1.9 kg and ranges in thickness from 13.9 to 16.9 mm. It features a 99.9 Wh battery that supports fast charging up to 140 W via USB-C.

Modern connectivity and performance

The device includes modern connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 7, two USB4 Type-C ports compatible with Thunderbolt 4, two USB-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 output, and an SD card reader. It also supports NVIDIA Studio acceleration for creative software like DaVinci Resolve and Blender.

Availability and pricing

The Prestige N16 Flip AI+ is available for pre-order through several retailers, including Amazon, Boulanger, Cybertek, Fnac, LDLC, and the MSI eShop. Prices range from 3,899€ to 7,999.99€, with an Early Bird pack offering additional value for purchases made by December 31, 2026.
