Ugreen’s DH4300 Plus NAS (Network Attached Storage) device has seen a price drop to $373.98 on Amazon, down from its original $439.99. This device is targeted at home users, remote workers, and those new to NAS technology. It includes four drive bays for storage, 8GB of LPDDR4X memory, 2.5GbE networking for faster data transfer, and a 4K HDMI output for connecting to displays. It also supports up to 128TB of storage and offers features like automatic backup of photos and videos, AI-powered organization of images, and the ability to function as a private cloud accessible from multiple devices. The DH4300 Plus is a diskless NAS, meaning it does not include internal storage drives. Users must purchase compatible hard drives or SSDs separately. The maximum storage capacity mentioned assumes these drives are set up in RAID 0, a configuration that maximizes space but offers no data redundancy. The device lacks built-in Wi-Fi, so it must be connected to a router or network switch using an Ethernet cable. In a 4-star review, user Mark described the DH4300 Plus as “great for homes and small businesses,” praising its “elegant design” and affordability. He highlighted the flexibility of the four drive bays, which allow for future storage expansion, and the RAID options that let users choose between maximizing storage space or adding redundancy. The software is designed to be user-friendly for those new to NAS systems, supporting multiple platforms including Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, and web browsers, with features like remote access and automatic photo backup from mobile devices. The current price offers a 15% discount, though it’s not the lowest the device has been sold for. Earlier this year, it was available for as low as $305 to $310. While the DH4300 Plus supports Docker for running applications, it does not have native support for virtual machines. This makes it less ideal for users who need advanced features like running virtual machines or handling heavier server tasks.
