Discount details and refund guarantee

The two-year subscription for the Proton VPN Plus plan is reduced by 75% during the promotional period. The offer includes a 30-day satisfaction guarantee, allowing customers to request a refund if they are not satisfied with the service.

Free version features and limitations

The free version of Proton VPN allows users to test the service on a single device without speed restrictions. It provides access to automatically selected servers in ten countries, which can meet basic needs but has limited capabilities compared to the Plus plan.

Proton VPN Plus features and benefits

The Proton VPN Plus plan allows users to connect up to ten devices simultaneously and provides access to more than 20,000 servers across over 140 countries. It also lets users choose the location of their connection, offering greater flexibility and performance.

Performance and security enhancements

Both the free and Plus plans include the Proton VPN Accelerator, which can boost connection performance by up to 400% under certain conditions, such as when connecting to a distant server. The Plus plan adds advanced security features like hiding the user's real IP address and encrypting data using protocols like WireGuard and OpenVPN.

Additional security tools and features

Proton VPN Plus includes tools like NetShield, which blocks connections to domains linked to malicious software, and Secure Core, which routes traffic through multiple servers for enhanced protection. A kill switch feature ensures that internet access is cut off if the VPN connection drops, preventing data leaks.

Independent testing and pricing comparison

In a test by Clubic, Proton VPN received a score of 9.7 out of 10, with praise for its privacy features, user-friendly applications, and the performance of its European servers. While the test noted that Proton's prices are generally higher than those of competitors, the current discount reduces the monthly rate of the Plus plan to 2.49 euros, with the two-year subscription costing 59.76 euros in total.
