Alison Hammond, the 51-year-old presenter of the British daytime show This Morning, has opened up about her relationship with her boyfriend, David Putnam, a 29-year-old model. The couple, who began dating in 2023 after Hammond booked Putnam for a massage, now live together in a house near Birmingham. Hammond has described Putnam as "one of the most loving people" and said she has never been happier in the relationship, noting that she has previously had difficulties with past partners but not with David. Hammond explained that she and David get along exceptionally well and have a strong emotional connection. She emphasized that she never feels the need to question his feelings for her, calling him "wonderful." She also joked about his age, saying it feels like he is "55" when she mentions he is 29. Putnam, for his part, shared that their relationship involves a lot of kissing and that he enjoys the massages Hammond gives him, joking that she has "healing hands." He noted that when he had shoulder issues, her massages helped him feel better almost immediately. When asked about having children, Hammond said she would not want to have more children, even though David might want to in the future. She explained that while she would not stop him from having children, she does not see marriage as necessary and does not want to change her name or be "owned" by anyone. She mentioned that she might get engaged but stressed that she would never allow someone to "own" her. Hammond confirmed her relationship with David in 2024 during an appearance on the Parenting Hell podcast hosted by comedians Rob Beckett and Josh Widdecombe. She admitted that dating has become more complicated since her 21-year-old son, Aidan, has grown older and is now more verbal. Aidan, she said, will ask questions about who she is dating and want to meet them, making it harder to date. However, she was relieved to learn that when Aidan met David, he liked him and thought he was "lovely."
