Tenth edition of Emergency Festival

The Emergency Festival is celebrating its tenth anniversary with a week-long event focused on hip-hop from October 31 to November 7. The festival will showcase various hip-hop disciplines and aim to support both new and established artists in the field.

French beatbox championship returns

A highlight of the festival is the return of the French Human Beatbox championship, which will take place at Victoire 2 on Friday, November 6, and Saturday, November 7. This event marks the twentieth anniversary of the national competition.

Montpellier hosts the championship

The Montpellier area, which previously hosted the competition in 2008, is once again the venue for this milestone celebration. The event will feature three categories: mixed solo, female solo, and duo.

Competition structure and criteria

Artists will first participate in two-minute qualification rounds to impress the jury before advancing to the battles that will determine the national champions. Judging criteria include technical skill, musicality, originality, sound quality, and stage presence.

Several well-known artists and judges have been announced for the event, including FootboxG, Lexie T, Bookie Blanco, Tioneb, BMG, Pacmax, Bellatrix, Supernova, and Reeps One.
