Pigment reaches 100 million dollar revenue

Pigment, a French software company that helps businesses with budgeting and forecasting, has surpassed 100 million dollars in annual recurring revenue, equivalent to about 89 million euros. The company has also announced a new funding round of 223 million euros to support its growth.

Company aims to expand its platform

Pigment plans to use the new funding to deploy its software to more large corporations, expand its applications, and automate parts of the planning process. Financial teams often struggle with combining data from different departments, each working in separate files. Pigment aims to unify this information in a shared environment.

L'Oréal adopts Pigment's platform

L'Oréal has selected Pigment's platform to replace its payroll planning tool, which covers more than 95,000 employees worldwide. This adoption highlights the platform’s potential to streamline complex planning processes across large organizations.

Rapid revenue growth and funding history

Pigment, founded in 2019 by Eléonore Crespo and Romain Niccoli, has doubled its annual recurring revenue in one year and surpassed the 100 million dollar threshold earlier in 2026. This figure represents annualized recurring revenue and does not reflect annual profit or total revenue.

Funding rounds and strategic goals

The company's funding history shows a clear path of growth. The Series C in 2023 focused on product development and partnerships, while the Series D in 2024 aimed to strengthen its presence in North America. The current Series E adds a new priority: enhancing calculation capabilities and AI agents for complex planning tasks.

Pigment's internal engine and scalability

To serve large corporations, Pigment needs to handle complex models used by multiple teams simultaneously. Its proprietary engine, Graphite, adjusts computing resources dynamically, manages data access, and maintains model availability during processing. The new funding will be used to enhance Graphite and the teams developing it.

AI-driven data creation and automation

Pigment claims that 85% of new metrics created on its platform are now generated by AI agents. The company aims to expand these capabilities, allowing AI agents to take on more complete tasks after model creation and data analysis. This automation helps reduce the effort needed to build forecasts and update plans.

New funding and valuation

Pigment announced on October 21, 2026, a Series E funding round of approximately 223 million euros, valuing the company at around 2.05 billion euros. The round is led by Scaleup Europe Fund, managed by EQT, with participation from other investors. NVIDIA is also expected to invest, though the deal is not yet finalized.
