Ensol offers high buyback rate for solar energy

Ensol guarantees a purchase price of 5 cents per kWh for surplus electricity, the highest buyback price currently available for French residential users, but only if the system includes a subscription-based battery. This contrasts sharply with the standard EDF buyback rate, which has dropped from 4 to 1 cent per kWh.

Ensol Smart aims to boost savings

To counter the decline in buyback rates, Ensol is introducing Ensol Smart, a service for owners of its subscription-based batteries. This offering guarantees a buyback price of 5 cents per kWh, five times higher than the current regulated rate, helping households maximize their savings from solar energy.

Ensol's software manages battery use

Ensol's business model relies on a software innovation developed by its technical team. The Ensol Smart algorithm analyzes daily solar production and household consumption patterns to dynamically manage the battery, optimizing when to store and use electricity for maximum efficiency.

Battery integration increases savings

According to Ensol, a typical solar installation without a battery can reduce a household's electricity bill by an average of 40%. Adding a battery can increase savings to up to 60%, and with the Ensol Smart solution, households may achieve up to 85% annual savings.
