Snowfarming tracks open in Norway

Geilo in Norway is set to open a 2.5 km snowfarming track this Saturday, which will pass through the firing range of its stadium. This marks another addition to the growing list of locations preparing for winter sports.

Multiple European locations open tracks

Snowfarming tracks have already opened in several European locations, including Levi, Vuokatti, and Imatra in Finland, Pitztal in Austria, and Idre Fjäll in Sweden. These tracks are designed to allow athletes to train in controlled snow conditions even before natural snowfall begins.

French biathlon team prepares in Norway

The French men's biathlon team is expected to arrive at Geilo in about ten days for the final stage of their preparation. They are anticipated to find good training conditions on the newly opened track.

Snowfarming begins in France

In France, the first snowfarming tracks will open on October 31 in Bessans (Savoie) and on November 11 in Les Saisies (Savoie). These tracks will provide French athletes with early training opportunities ahead of the winter season.

New comic book released

The third volume of the comic book A place at the Games, which focuses on biathlon, has been released. It features Lucas Marceau, who dreams of an Olympic career, and continues the story of athletes preparing for competition.

Athletes and events in the news

In addition to the snowfarming developments, about twenty French athletes have gathered in Annecy for an event organized by Atomic. Meanwhile, Bosnian athlete Srdjan Lalovic has discussed his participation in the Loop One Festival for Nordic Magazine. Océane Michelon is still working on the "dictionary of cross-country skiing" and values her collaboration with Cyril Burdet.
