ASUS has shared more details about the upcoming ProArt P14 laptop, which will be one of the first devices to use NVIDIA’s new RTX Spark platform. This platform is designed for high-performance tasks such as artificial intelligence, video editing, 3D rendering, and working with large data models. The ProArt P14 will feature a unified memory system, allowing both the CPU and GPU to access the same pool of LPDDR5X memory. Available memory configurations range from 24 to 128 GB, with five different options planned. This architecture is intended to improve efficiency and performance for complex computing tasks. The ProArt P14 will include a 14-inch OLED touchscreen with a high resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and support for up to 1,600 nits in HDR, making it ideal for creative work and media consumption. The laptop is designed to be highly portable, with a weight of just 1.48 kg and a thickness of 13.9 mm. It will come with a 90 Wh battery and a 140 W USB-C power adapter. Storage options will include PCIe 4.0 SSDs with capacities of 512 GB or 1 TB. The RTX Spark platform also supports NVIDIA technologies like DLSS for enhanced graphics, Reflex for reduced input lag, and G-SYNC for smoother screen performance. NVIDIA’s RTX Spark platform is capable of delivering up to 1 petaflop of FP4 performance, which is particularly useful for AI-related tasks. It combines a 20-core Grace CPU with a Blackwell GPU that includes up to 6,144 CUDA cores, providing powerful processing capabilities. However, real-world performance and power consumption are still unknown, and more testing will be needed to evaluate how well the system handles demanding workloads. ASUS has not yet announced the prices for the various configurations of the ProArt P14. However, the company mentioned that demand for the first RTX Spark systems has been very high, with initial allocations already reserved before the official launch. Alongside the ProArt P14, the ProArt P16 is also expected to be released as part of the first wave of RTX Spark laptops this autumn. These devices are positioned as high-end tools for professionals and creators requiring advanced computing power.
