FAA approves Boeing 737 MAX 10

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has approved the Boeing 737 MAX 10, the largest variant in the 737 MAX family of airplanes, after several delays. This approval marks the end of a review process that was paused in late September due to concerns over a software issue.

Software issue caused delay

The suspension of the approval process was linked to a software bug discovered in the aircraft’s systems. This issue required additional testing and analysis to ensure the safety and reliability of the plane before it could be cleared for service.

737 MAX 10 introduced 15 years ago

The Boeing 737 MAX 10 was first presented to the public 15 years ago as an updated version of the 737 MAX series. It was designed to offer increased fuel efficiency and passenger capacity compared to earlier models in the family.

Deliveries set for 2027

Now that the FAA has approved the aircraft, Boeing can begin delivering the 737 MAX 10 to airlines. The first deliveries are expected to take place in 2027, after years of development and regulatory review.
