BGFIBank Group updates investors on capital plans

BGFIBank Group has confirmed its plans to boost its capital, expand its operations, and support African economies through a series of investor meetings held in several Central African cities in 2026. These meetings were part of the second phase of a capital-raising initiative by BGFI Holding Corporation.

Meetings took place in multiple cities

The meetings occurred on specific dates in Libreville, Yaoundé, Douala, and Brazzaville in 2026, with discussions led by Henri-Claude OYIMA, the Group’s President and CEO. The sessions covered the Group’s financial results, future goals, and plans for capital operations.

Capital raising targets and share price

The second phase of the capital operation aims to raise 80 billion 558 million CFA francs, with the share price remaining at 80,000 CFA francs as it was during the first phase. This follows a strong financial performance, with a net profit of 133 billion CFA francs in 2025.

Strategic goals and market valuation

The capital raise is part of a broader strategy to expand the Group’s banking services, create new subsidiaries, and support growth in key regions like Cameroon. OYIMA noted an estimated market value of BGFI Holding Corporation at around 1,310 billion CFA francs, with a share valuation reference of 89,000 CFA francs.

Regional financial market development

The capital operation also seeks to strengthen regional financial markets by encouraging local investment and supporting the Central African Securities Exchange (BVMAC). This effort aims to improve the depth, liquidity, and appeal of sub-regional financial markets.
