Hoshi's new album, Bonjour docteur, is set to release this Friday and features fourteen tracks. The album is described by Hoshi as "like an open heart surgery," as she reflects on her past relationship with Gia Martinelli, who was also her manager and co-lyricist. Their relationship ended in late 2024 after seven years. Hoshi revealed on her social media that she had filed several complaints against her former partner, stating she felt "defamed, abused, and I cannot let this situation continue." She mentioned she had "found herself in situations where [her] consent no longer existed." Hoshi mentioned that she did not initially intend to create an album but felt an urgency to express everything that had happened. She believes the process of writing the songs eventually resembled an album. The album includes references to two children she imagined having with her ex, named Billy and Joey. She explains that naming them was a way to say goodbye and reflect on her desire for motherhood. Hoshi acknowledges that there might be a gap between the time she wrote the songs and the album's release. She notes that the release of Bonjour docteur will feel like the end of a therapy session, and singing these songs will not necessarily be painful for her now. She states she is much better now and is enthusiastic about the "afterlife," the title of one of her new songs. Hoshi recently celebrated her 30th birthday, marking the beginning of "my adult life." She reflects on her twenties as a time of both success and trauma, but now feels "calm" in her thirties. She is eager to perform her "therapy album" in concerts, launching her tour in Aix-en-Provence on February 4. The tour will include dates in Zénith venues in France, Switzerland, and Belgium, with a stop at the Accor Arena in Paris on November 18, 2027.
