Marketing platform Noise is working to connect brands with content creators in a way that is more affordable than traditional influencer hiring or standard ad campaigns. The app allows anyone, regardless of how many followers they have, to download it and join campaigns that match their interests. These campaigns let creators produce content for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. Instead of paying a flat fee, Noise pays creators based on the number of views their content receives. Brands can sign up to share their content needs and budgets, and Noise manages the rest, helping them scale their marketing efforts without handling individual relationships or payments.
On Wednesday, Noise announced it has raised $5.5 million in a seed funding round led by investors such as Capital Midwest, M25, and Girshin Robotics. This brings the company’s total raised to $7.2 million, with additional support from CapitalizeVC and former executives from companies like DoorDash. Noise is entering a growing market, where more than half of young people and over 40% of U.S. adults are interested in participating in content creation. The startup joins a growing list of companies focused on building infrastructure for content creators, such as Billo and JoinBrands.
Noise was founded in 2025 by Diego Kafie, Stu Feldt, and Nic Weber, who previously built a mobile game app called Playbite. Their experience with Playbite helped shape the idea for Noise. While trying to scale their game, they experimented with different marketing strategies, including training everyday gamers to create content that promoted the app. This strategy led to a significant increase in app downloads at a much lower cost than traditional influencer marketing. Had they hired established creators with large followings, the costs would have been too high for a startup budget.
The new funding will be used to expand the platform’s features and hire more staff. Recently, Noise launched an "Organic-to-Ads" program that lets brands take content created by Noise creators and turn it into paid ads on Meta and TikTok. This allows brands to reach even more people while creators continue to post their content. CEO Kafie emphasized that creators are not paid less than they could be if approached directly by a brand. Instead, brands set their own rates, and creators can choose whether to accept or reject the offer. Noise aims to make it easier for everyday people to become content creators, offering training modules to help new users learn how to create content for brands. Kafie believes this approach can help millions of people earn income online without the usual challenges of becoming influencers on their own.
