Apple TV series Nocturne premieres

A new Apple TV series titled Nocturne has premiered, following in the tradition of shows like Mindhunter and Dexter with a dark exploration of a formidable serial killer. The series features an intense police investigation and a narrative built around suspense and complex, ambiguous characters.

Liev Schreiber cast as main investigator

Liev Schreiber, known for his role as Ray Donovan, was cast as the main investigator. He was not the first choice for the role, as the production had initially preferred Tom Hardy, who opted to film MobLand instead.

Stephen Graham plays the serial killer

Stephen Graham, recognized for his roles in Adolescence and Peaky Blinders, plays a serial killer, using his physical presence to create tense scenes. Zazie Beetz, star of Atlanta and the film Joker, joins the cast as a detective, adding a dramatic and human dimension to the narrative.

Nocturne is an adaptation of a Swedish television series written by Lars Kepler, a pseudonym for the writing duo Alexandra Coelho Ahndoril and Alexander Ahndoril. The first season adapts two books from the series, Sand Merchant and Lazarus, available from Babel editions.
