Theatre hosts November events

The Théâtre Agathois is hosting two events in November as part of its cultural season. The first is a performance by Gisèle Négrel on November 6, focusing on the life and work of George Sand, followed by a swing music concert by the Fairy Poppin's on November 10.

Residency begins early in November

The theatre will welcome its first resident artists starting November 4. Over three days, Gisèle Négrel and a technical team will prepare for her performance of "Un Bruissement d'Elle, nom de plume : George Sand," which will be presented to the public on November 6 at 8:30 p.m.

Performance explores George Sand's legacy

Gisèle Négrel, a singer, actress, writer, and director, will present a performance that highlights the life of Aurore Dupin, better known as George Sand. The show draws from her writings, letters, newspaper articles, music, and references to her contemporaries.

Event revisits 19th-century female artistry

The performance revisits the role of George Sand as a female artist in the 19th century, offering audiences a chance to discover or rediscover her contributions to literature and the arts.
