During the Amazon French Week, the TP-Link Tapo C100 surveillance camera is being offered at a discounted price of 24.99 euros, which is about 23% less than its usual cost. This camera is the second model from TP-Link to include a feature called distortion correction, which helps improve the accuracy of the visual field. It also has a sound alarm and an infrared mode for low-light visibility. The Tapo C100 is praised for its straightforward installation and ease of use, and it performs well in daylight conditions. However, its infrared mode does not provide very detailed images, and the built-in microphone and speaker are considered to be of lower quality. For those looking for a more precise surveillance experience and better overall performance, the TP-Link Kasa Cam KC120 is often preferred. The price reduction for the Tapo C100 is calculated by comparing its current lowest price with the average of the lowest prices offered by all merchants for the product in the past month. This calculation excludes "gray" stores—those with unclear VAT policies, often associated with imports from China—to ensure fair comparisons. Another notable camera in the market is the EZVIZ C6N, which offers a 360° swivel head, allowing it to rotate and follow movement within its field of view. It also gives users the flexibility to choose where to store recordings, either locally or in the cloud. The C6N provides good image quality, especially in well-lit conditions. However, it doesn’t offer significant improvements over its predecessor, the EZVIZ C6C 1080p, which is favored for its better performance in low-light situations. Both the Tapo C100 and the EZVIZ C6N are part of a growing market for home surveillance systems that aim to balance affordability with useful features. While each has its strengths, consumer preferences often depend on specific needs such as image quality in different lighting conditions, ease of use, and storage flexibility.
