Price reduction for coffee maker

The Krups Dolce Gusto Piccolo XS coffee maker is currently available for 29.99 € on Boulanger.com, which is about 45% less than its usual price.

Discount calculation method

The discount is determined by comparing the lowest price of the day with the average of the lowest prices set by all merchants for the product last month, using rules to ensure prices from stores with unclear VAT policies are excluded.

Product design and features

The Piccolo XS is a smaller version of the Piccolo model, introduced by Krups Dolce Gusto to coincide with the return to school. It is described as having a friendly and compact design, with easy water reservoir filling, quick preheating while using a reasonable amount of electricity, and being relatively quiet.

Limitations and drawbacks

However, the machine lacks an automatic shut-off feature, does not have a drip-stop capsule holder, and cannot prevent beverage preparation if the water reservoir is low. It also cannot make two coffees at the same time and requires user supervision during operation.

User experience and functionality

The Piccolo XS tends to splash the countertop during beverage preparation and needs careful monitoring. While the wide range of available capsules is a benefit, the inability to make two coffees simultaneously is a notable limitation.
