Marina Bye, 33, the daughter of comedian Ruby Wax, has been cast in the third installment of The Inbetweeners film, currently in production. This new film will reunite the original four cast members: Simon Bird as Will McKenzie, Joe Thomas as Simon Cooper, James Buckley as Jay Cartwright, and Blake Harrison as Neil Sutherland. Reports suggest that Bye was spotted on set wearing a wedding gown, hinting she may be playing the bride. However, it is still uncertain which of the four actors will play the groom. Production for the Netflix film began on September 7, with a release date expected around 2027. It is unclear if the film will premiere in cinemas before its release on Netflix. The film continues the story from the 2011 The Inbetweeners Movie and the 2014 sequel, The Inbetweeners 2, which together earned over £100 million globally. The creators, Damon Beesley and Iain Morris, had previously announced in October 2025 that the Inbetweeners franchise would return in some form. Emily Atack, who played Charlotte Hinchcliffe in the original series, is reportedly being considered for a role in the new film, though her involvement has not been officially confirmed. Marina Bye is one of three children of Ruby Wax and Ed Bye. Her sister, Madeline Bye, is also an actress, and the two co-host a podcast called Relatively. Marina has appeared in shows such as The Girlfriend and We Were the Lucky Ones, as well as films like Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy and Wonka. Madeline has appeared in movies including A Caribbean Dream and How to Talk to Girls at Parties. Ruby Wax has commented on her daughters' careers, noting that while they are in the entertainment industry, they do not seek her advice. She described their dinner table conversations as "hilarious" and expressed pride in their adventurous spirit. The family's dynamic reflects a blend of humor and support, as they navigate their respective careers in the entertainment world.
