Big Brother, the popular reality TV show where contestants live together in a specially designed house under constant surveillance, is set to return for an eight-week season starting Sunday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX. The show will be hosted by AJ Odudu and Will Best, who are known for their work on other reality and entertainment programs. The new season promises fresh twists and challenges, as the iconic house has been redesigned to reflect a more vibrant and dynamic atmosphere. A preview of the revamped Big Brother house has been released, showing a number of new features. The Diary Room, where contestants can share their thoughts with the public, now includes a unique red chair shaped like an eye, symbolizing the show's signature theme of being watched. The communal areas of the house are decorated in bright colors, with six green sofas in the living room, each paired with burgundy cushions. A central gold table sits in the middle of the space, while a red carpet leads to a cabinet where contestants will receive updates on nominations and evictions. The kitchen is styled in green with a black-and-white floor pattern and a central island that includes four seats. In the bedroom area, a colorful carpet featuring blue, green, and orange tones is placed under beds that are decorated in orange. A vanity area includes four small mirrors and stools, while the communal bathroom features red carpeting, two tiers of steps leading to a large bathtub, and gold shower enclosures. Contestants will also have access to an outdoor garden with a covered patio, seating, a lawn, and a hot tub, offering a space for relaxation and socializing. Big Brother first aired in the UK in 2000 on Channel 4 and ran for 11 series before Channel 5 relaunched the show in 2011, continuing until 2018. The current version debuted on ITV2 in 2023. The show has been hosted by several personalities over the years, including Davina McCall, Brian Dowling, Emma Willis, and now AJ Odudu and Will Best. Best is also set to appear on the next season of Strictly Come Dancing, adding to the anticipation for the new series.
