The popular comedy series Alice and Steve has been officially renewed for a second season, as confirmed in August 2026. The news comes after the first season ended with a tense and mysterious cliffhanger, leaving fans eager for answers. While the core cast is expected to return, no official trailer or release date has yet been announced. In the final moments of the first season, Alice and Steve were trapped in a fire at a wedding venue. The episode ended abruptly, cutting to black without revealing whether the couple survived. This has left audiences speculating about their fate and what might happen next in the series. The show’s creator and writer, Sophie Goodhart, expressed her excitement about the renewal, stating, "I am so thrilled that Alice and Steve has been given a second season. No one will be prepared for what happens next, especially not Alice and Steve." Disney+ EMEA’s VP of Scripted Content, Lee Mason, praised the show’s success, saying, "It’s been fantastic to see the rapturous reactions to Alice and Steve from viewers at home. Sophie has created a distinctive and original comedy that is striking a chord and sparking debate with audiences across the country. I’m excited to see what mayhem Sophie and Clerkenwell have in store for our titular characters after that delicious cliffhanger – but we can expect more laughs, betrayal, and bad decisions in season two." The core cast members expected to return include Nicola Walker as Alice, Jemaine Clement as Steve, Yali Topol Margalith as Izzy, Alice's daughter, Joel Fry as Daniel, Alice's husband, Tyrese Eaton-Dyce as Dom, Alice's son, and Marcia Warren as Val, Alice's mother. However, there is a possibility that some cast members may not return, so updates will be provided if any changes occur. The second season is expected to pick up shortly after the dramatic finale of the first season, with the fire at the wedding venue likely to be a central focus in the first episode. Additionally, Izzy is pregnant, and there is potential for new drama as her ex, Yannis, may return as a new, problematic character in the series.
