Ulike has introduced the Air 10 Pro, a new at-home hair removal device that uses intense pulsed light (IPL) technology. IPL works by emitting short bursts of light that target melanin in the hair, converting light energy into heat to disable hair growth. The Air 10 Pro includes several advanced control systems, such as cooling, skin detection, intensity adjustment, and automated flashes, making it more user-friendly and precise than previous models. One of the key features of the Air 10 Pro is its SkinSensor, which detects the user's skin tone and automatically adjusts the intensity of each flash. This eliminates the need for manual adjustments and ensures the device is safe and effective for different skin types. Additionally, the device includes a USHR mode, which is designed for users with thick or resistant hair. This mode uses a series of pulsed light impulses to gradually increase the heat applied to the hair follicles, improving effectiveness for tougher hair types. To enhance comfort during use, the Air 10 Pro incorporates Sapphire Ice Cooling technology. This system uses a sapphire surface in the treatment window to cool the skin before and during each flash, reducing the sensation of heat. This built-in cooling system removes the need for additional cooling accessories, making the device more convenient for users. For larger body areas, the Air 10 Pro features a Dual-Light System with two light sources and a wider treatment window, allowing it to cover more skin at once. The device also includes an AutoGlide function, which enables users to chain flashes together while gliding the device over their skin. This feature is particularly useful for treating large areas like the legs, offering a more efficient and less time-consuming experience. The Air 10 Pro is certified as a class IIa medical device under the European Medical Device Regulation (MDR), indicating it meets strict safety and performance standards. Ulike developed the device in collaboration with dermatologists and tested it under their supervision, ensuring its effectiveness and safety. The company also plans to expand its product line to include beauty devices such as masks, LED light therapy panels, and anti-aging tools that combine EMS (electronic muscle stimulation) and infrared technology. However, the Air 10 Pro remains a prime example of Ulike’s strategy of integrating more automation and control into existing technologies to improve user experience.
