GANNI, a Danish fashion brand known for its playful and youthful designs, has teamed up with Hunter, a British brand famous for its durable and weatherproof footwear and accessories, to create a special capsule collection. This collaboration blends GANNI’s vibrant aesthetic with Hunter’s long-standing reputation for creating practical, rain-ready gear. The collection includes a variety of items designed to keep wearers stylish and dry, from waterproof ponchos to rain hats and even a protective cover for GANNI’s popular bou bag. Among the standout pieces are three waterproof ponchos, available in bright yellow, khaki tones, and GANNI’s signature leopard print. The collection also features a water-resistant poncho specifically designed to protect the GANNI bou bag, ensuring it stays dry during rainy weather. In addition, there are tall and Chelsea-style Wellington boots, an umbrella, and a new style of wellie for Hunter called the Balmoral ankle boot. This boot comes in leopard and brown colorways, with a neoprene upper and layers of colored rubber on top of a thick base for added comfort and durability. The collaboration also introduces two styles of downpour tall boots. One features a leopard print, while the other is in green, both adorned with stylish buckle side fastenings and colorful detailing on the rubber and edges. For headwear, the collection includes a water-resistant bucket hat available in three different styles: full leopard print, leopard and yellow, and khaki green. Each hat is oversized and can be fastened with fun chin straps, adding a playful touch to the practical design. GANNI’s creative director, Ditte Reffstrup, expressed excitement about the collaboration, noting that Hunter’s iconic status as a British brand makes the partnership a unique blend of two distinct cultural perspectives. The collection reflects a fusion of Copenhagen’s modern, playful style with Hunter’s traditional, functional approach to weather protection, creating a line that is both fashionable and practical for rainy days.
