The LG Xboom Stage 301 is a Bluetooth speaker marketed for use at parties, karaoke sessions, and small gatherings. It is less powerful than larger models like the JBL PartyBox but is significantly more affordable. Recently, the speaker has seen discounts of over 90 euros, especially with the launch of LG’s new Xboom speaker line featuring the rapper will.i.am, announced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January 2026. The LG Xboom Stage 301 usually retails for 299 euros but is currently available on LG’s website for 207.10 euros. The speaker has an announced power of 120 watts, making it suitable for use in a living room, terrace, or small outdoor space. It features a 6.5-inch woofer and two 2.5-inch midrange drivers, which are designed for general use at events rather than for high-fidelity audio. According to a test by Clubic, the sound is clear and adequate at moderate volumes, but it can become overwhelming at higher levels, where voices are drowned out and the high-frequency range lacks refinement. The LG Xboom Stage 301 has dimensions of 312 x 311 x 282 mm and weighs 6.5 kg, with a built-in handle at the back for easy transport. It can be positioned flat or tilted to direct the sound better. It is certified to be splash-resistant (IPX4), allowing for outdoor use, but it is not waterproof and should not be submerged in water. The speaker connects via Bluetooth 5.3, supporting the SBC and AAC codecs, but not the higher-quality aptX. It also has a 3.5 mm auxiliary input and dedicated ports for microphones or guitars. The built-in echo effect enhances its use for karaoke or events, and the Auracast feature allows it to be linked with other compatible LG speakers. RGB LED strips around the front of the speaker synchronize with the music to enhance the visual atmosphere. The LG ThinQ app is used to adjust settings, including karaoke and DJ modes. The manufacturer claims 12 hours of battery life, but Clubic measured 11 hours and 40 minutes at moderate volume. At higher volumes, battery life drops to around 8 hours. The speaker has a removable battery that can be replaced in a few seconds, though the replacement battery (BP34A) must be bought separately. In comparison, the Marshall Bromley 450 also has a removable battery and a claimed 40-hour battery life, but it is unclear if its battery can be swapped as quickly.
