DJI, best known for its drones, has expanded its product line to include portable power stations, targeting outdoor enthusiasts and those who need reliable energy on the go. The company has introduced the Power 500 and Power 1000 models as entry-level options, but its flagship product, the Power 2000, is designed for more demanding users. This power station competes directly with well-known brands like EcoFlow and Bluetti, offering a capacity of 2048 watt-hours and a 3000-watt inverter. This allows it to power high-demand devices such as power tools and even induction cooktops, making it suitable for both recreational and home use. Currently, the Power 2000 is available at a discounted price of 849 euros at Darty, down from its usual price of 1,099 euros. The unit follows DJI’s design philosophy, emphasizing simplicity and durability. It features a slightly textured chassis that resists fingerprints and minor scratches, which is ideal for outdoor use. The front panel houses all the ports, buttons, and a small screen, making it more user-friendly for daily tasks. However, its size and weight—22 kg—make it more of a companion for car trips or short excursions rather than a device to carry on long hikes. Despite its bulk, the Power 2000’s main selling point is its 3000 W inverter, which outperforms similar models from competitors. For example, the EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max has a 2400 W inverter, meaning the Power 2000 can handle more power-hungry devices simultaneously, including household appliances. It also charges quickly, reaching 80% in 45 minutes and fully charging in 75 minutes. The unit supports multiple charging methods, including solar panels and car sockets, making it versatile for different environments. In addition to its power capabilities, the Power 2000 can act as a backup power supply, switching over in 0.01 seconds during a power outage. It operates quietly, with noise levels under 29 decibels at standard load, making it suitable for use in homes or quiet outdoor settings. While it may not be the most portable option on the market, its performance, speed, and reliability make it a strong contender for those who need a high-capacity power solution.
