Heifara Voirin wins Mister Tahiti 2026

Heifara Voirin, a 31-year-old from Teahupo’o, was crowned Mister Tahiti 2026 during a ceremony at Papeete City Hall. Voirin had previously competed in Mister Teahupo’o in 2014 and finished third in Mister Taiarapu in the same year, making this his first major title win.

Voirin’s journey and confidence

Voirin described feeling initially nervous during the event but gained confidence as he saw supporters from his hometown in the audience. He emphasized the importance of representing his community and promoting values like self-confidence through sport.

Overcoming personal challenges

Voirin shared that he has worked to overcome challenges related to weight and self-esteem, which he addressed through sports like va’a, a traditional Polynesian canoe racing activity. He is currently a customer service manager at the OPH in Taravao.

Engaging with the community

After his coronation, Voirin participated in a reading event for the European Leukodystrophy Association at a high school in Faa’a. He spoke with senior students and expressed his readiness to represent Polynesia at the Mister France election in January, despite being ineligible due to his marital status and family responsibilities.

Personal interests and message

Voirin shared personal details, including his favorite dish—raw fish in coconut milk—and his favorite color, blue. He enjoys activities like crossfit, DIY projects, and fishing. He encouraged young people to define their own identity rather than letting others’ opinions shape it.
