This reissue will not replace the original version of the game, ensuring that players who have been using mods can continue their campaigns without any issues. Additionally, those who already own the original Total War: Shogun 2 will receive a 75% discount on the Complete Edition. The Total War: Shogun 2 - Complete Edition includes several upgrades for modern computers. These improvements include a 64-bit upgrade, better stability, and support for borderless full-screen mode. The user interface has been adapted for high-resolution displays, such as 1440p and 4K, as well as ultra-wide screens. Visual enhancements cover textures, models, lighting, shadows, fog, and environments, along with new rendering techniques, anti-aliasing, and scaling. The edition also introduces optional 2.5D films inspired by Japanese Ukiyo-e art, which are used in the campaign. Players will find more ways to influence the game's storyline, including the ability to adjust Kingdom Division parameters and quickly make diplomatic agreements. Over 50 officially playable minor factions are also included, giving players more choices in how they shape the game. Combat controls have been updated with new hotkeys, making it easier to move and rotate units. A new bird's eye view of the battlefield is also available. Additional comfort features include customizable battle interfaces and overlays, color adjustment presets, and distinct language options for voices and text. These features make the game more accessible and customizable for a wider audience. The updated edition includes comprehensive localization, with full translations in Japanese and Chinese, and subtitles and text in Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, and Latin American Spanish. Those who already own Total War: Shogun 2 will receive all the legacy downloadable content (DLC) for free, along with the 75% discount on the Complete Edition. All changes, additions, and fixes are exclusive to Total War: Shogun 2 - Complete Edition. The original version of Total War: Shogun 2 will remain available and fully playable, allowing players to continue their campaigns with full access to existing mods.
