Segway introduces new service strategy

Segway has introduced a new after-sales service strategy that includes self-repair options for its electric scooters under warranty and an expanded network of authorized dealers. The company, which has been a leader in the French market for three years, aims to improve its service quality by offering clients the ability to perform self-repairs with video tutorials, as well as more complex repairs through a network of hundreds of partner retailers.

New models launch with service updates

The strategy was unveiled with the launch of the Segway ZT3 Max and Max G3 Pro models. Segway has established a network of authorized dealers known as Segway Service Dealers, which provide on-site diagnostics and warranty repairs. The company plans to increase the number of partners from 120 in 2026 to 200 by the end of 2027 in France, its primary market, and aims to expand the network to 1,000 physical locations across Europe.

Self-repair options for scooter owners

Under the new policy, customers can perform self-repairs on certain components within two years of purchasing an electric scooter. These repairs involve easily replaceable parts, with guidance provided through video tutorials. The Segway ZT3 Max model's official page includes nearly fifty videos demonstrating the process. Official Segway parts and necessary tool kits are delivered to customers' homes.

Design focused on ease of repair

Segway has also designed its products with reparability in mind, using modular components that are easy to repair or self-repair. The company standardizes certain parts across multiple models, such as lighting, brakes, handlebars, and front wheels, to facilitate repairs by authorized dealers. This approach is already implemented in the latest Segway Max G3 Pro and ZT3 Max models.
