During a press conference in Paris, the M6 television group unveiled its programming plans for the 2026-2027 season, celebrating the channel's 40th anniversary. M6 highlighted its commitment to innovation, introducing several new shows that aim to engage and entertain French audiences. One of these is "Wanted: Attrape-moi si tu peux," an adapted Dutch format that transforms the classic "cat and mouse" game into a nationwide challenge. Sixteen celebrities will play the role of fugitives, while three others, including Michou, Adil Rami, and Issa Doumbia, will act as pursuers. The show will invite all French citizens to participate by choosing which side they support, blending entertainment with public interaction. Another new program, "The Trial, and if you were a juror?" will be hosted by Anne-Sophie Lapix. This show will present anonymized details from a past legal case to a group of ordinary French people, who will then debate and decide on the accused's guilt. The focus will be on the intellectual process and reasoning behind the verdict, offering viewers a unique insight into the judicial system through a participatory format. M6 also announced a new real estate show, dubbed "the 'Married at First Sight' of real estate." The concept involves finding a dream home for a family without them ever seeing it, similar to the Danish format "Buying Blind," for which M6 has held the rights for nearly a decade. This show promises to blend the excitement of surprise with the practicality of home selection, offering a fresh take on the real estate genre. Returning shows include "Le Pensionnat de Chavagnes," now rebranded as "Le Pensionnat," and "Morning Live," which will be revived for a special week hosted by Cyril Hanouna. To mark the 40th anniversary, M6 will also air three special programs: a variety show, a single episode of "Scènes de ménages" where couples are inserted into flagship programs, and a special edition of "Traîtres" featuring notable figures from the channel. These programs aim to celebrate the channel's legacy while continuing to innovate and engage its audience.
