Samsung unveils new OLED TV line

During the CES 2026 event in Las Vegas, Samsung officially unveiled its new OLED television lines, including the S85H series, which constitutes the entry-level OLED range from the South Korean manufacturer.

Promotional pricing for the TQ65S85H model

The 65-inch model, the Samsung TQ65S85H TV, is currently available at a promotional price of 1,649.99 euros at Carrefour, a discount of 150 euros from its initial price of 1,799.99 euros.

Features of the TQ65S85H TV

The TV features a 65-inch White OLED panel with an anti-reflective filter, HDMI 2.1 ports compatible with 4K at 120 Hz, and the Tizen OS, which promises seven years of updates.

Design and image quality

The Samsung TQ65S85H is part of the so-called "affordable" OLED TVs from Samsung, but it still has refined finishes, including a thin metal frame and discreet side feet. The large 65-inch OLED panel promises deep blacks and infinite contrasts, along with 4K UHD definition.

Supported formats and filmmaker mode

The panel supports HLG and HDR10+ Advanced formats but does not support Dolby Vision. A Filmmaker mode, which reproduces the image as intended by the director, is also available.

Internal processing and image optimization

Inside the device, the NQ4 AI Gen2 processor is at work for upscaling non-4K sources and optimizing each image.

Audio features and sound synchronization

For audio, there are two 10 W speakers and Dolby Atmos compatibility. The Q-Symphony technology is also part of the package to synchronize the TV speakers with those of a Samsung soundbar.

Object tracking sound technology

The OTS (Object Tracking Sound) Lite gives the impression that the sound follows the movements of objects or people on screen.

Gaming capabilities and limitations

For gaming, the Samsung TQ65S85H is equipped with four HDMI 2.1 ports and can display 4K at 120 Hz, allowing full use of the capabilities of PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on compatible titles.

Limitations for PC gamers

However, gamers with a powerful PC will not be able to benefit from a 4K display at 144 Hz, as the TV is limited to 120 Hz.

Gaming features and Tizen OS

The TV also includes AMD FreeSync Premium technology, VRR (to combat screen tearing), and ALLM (to reduce latency). The TV operates under Tizen OS and provides several streaming applications, including Samsung's Gaming Hub, which allows access to several cloud gaming services.

Long-term updates and AI features

The brand has also committed to providing up to seven years of operating system updates, starting from the year of the TV's launch. The Tizen OS also includes Vision AI functions: automatic translation, trip planning, and answers to questions about specific scenes in a movie.
