Sweden unveils a new biathlon uniform for 2026/2027, featuring white and dark blue with yellow accents, standing out in world cup teams.
Sweden updates biathlon uniform
Sweden has introduced a new biathlon uniform for the 2026/2027 season, marking a significant departure from its previous design. The Swedish national biathlon team had traditionally used a combination primarily dyed dark blue and yellow for several winters.
New design details
The new uniform, currently being tested during a training camp at Idre Fjäll (Sweden), features white on the upper arms and lower legs, with dark blue still present on the legs. The white elements transition into yellow, creating a distinctive look that will help identify Swedish athletes in world cup teams starting from November 26th next year in Kontiolahti (Finland).
Other countries update uniforms
Other nations have also unveiled new combinations for the 2026/2027 season. Norway has moved from dark blue to red in its race combination. Italy has introduced a new anthracite gray combination made of ribbed fabric.
Continuity and changes in Europe
Germany's new combination is nearly identical to that of the previous winter. Austria has darkened its combination with white touches on the arms and legs. Ukraine has replaced yellow with blue and white in its new winter 2026/2027 combination.
