The Rolex Paris Masters 2026, the 40th edition of the final Masters 1000 event of the year, will be held from October 31 to November 8 at the Plenitude Arena. The main draw is set to begin on November 2, and the first list of participants, released on October 8, includes only three French players—Arthur Fils, Ugo Humbert, and Arthur Rinderknech—who have direct entries based on their current rankings. Rinderknech, who recently suffered a muscle tear during a tournament in Beijing, is hoping to return to Paris for the event. Meanwhile, Gaël Monfils, who will turn 40 during the tournament, has been granted a wildcard entry and is expected to play his final professional match in Paris, giving him a chance to say farewell to French fans. Other French players, such as Luca Van Assche, Quentin Halys, and Arthur Géa, are currently on a waiting list and will need several players to withdraw from the tournament in order to gain direct entry into the main draw. The French Tennis Federation (FFT) may also issue additional invitations to boost the number of French participants at the event. The tournament is expected to attract top players from around the world, including Alexander Zverev, Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic, Ben Shelton, Félix Auger-Aliassime, Daniil Medvedev, Taylor Fritz, and Alex de Minaur. Holger Rune will also take part, thanks to a protected ranking that allows him to compete even if his current performance does not meet the usual standards. However, Jannik Sinner, who won the 2025 title by defeating Auger-Aliassime, will not defend his championship due to a knee injury that has forced him to end his season early.
