JBL has introduced the PartyBox 330, a new addition to its range of portable speakers. Positioned between the smaller PartyBox 130 and the larger PartyBox 520, this model aims to offer a balance between size, power, and portability. The PartyBox 330 measures 66.3 x 33.4 x 37.5 cm and weighs 17.1 kg, making it slightly heavier than the PartyBox 130. To aid in transportation, it includes wheels and a telescopic handle, unlike the smaller model, which only has a small handle. The design of the PartyBox 330 features a hexagonal shape with rounded edges and notches for optional wireless microphones. It has a water resistance rating of IPX4, meaning it can withstand splashes of water but should be kept under cover during rain. The speaker includes a removable battery and supports modern Bluetooth codecs like SBC, AAC, and LC3, along with Bluetooth 6.0 technology. It also features Auracast technology, which allows it to sync with other compatible JBL speakers or pair with another PartyBox 330 to create a stereo sound. The PartyBox 330 includes physical controls similar to the PartyBox 130, such as buttons for power, Bluetooth pairing, and bass boost, along with a single backlit knob and a selection button. The knob can adjust playback, volume, battery level, lighting effects, and input levels for microphones and guitars. The JBL One app, available for iOS and Android devices, offers additional control over lighting, sound effects, and equalizer settings. Sound-wise, the PartyBox 330 features two 16.5 cm woofer/midrange drivers and two 2.5 cm tweeters with PEN domes, a design inspired by JBL’s professional speaker lineup. It also includes AI Sound Boost technology, which helps maintain sound clarity at high volumes. The speaker delivers a balanced and precise sound, with a slightly warmer high-frequency response compared to the PartyBox 130. The PartyBox 330 is available in black and white and was launched in May 2026 with a price of 599 €. It comes with a more durable removable battery, the JBL Battery 400, compared to the Battery 200 included with the PartyBox 130. During testing, it lasted 18 hours and 30 minutes at 50% volume, slightly exceeding its advertised battery life. The speaker is described as versatile, suitable for both casual parties and more refined listening. While it is more affordable than the Marshall Bromley 750, it is noted for offering superior sound quality compared to the more expensive and elegantly designed Marshall model.
