New security tool launched by NordVPN

NordVPN introduced a new generation antivirus in late May 2026. This tool is integrated directly into its existing application and aims to protect users from various online threats without requiring additional software.

Antivirus goes beyond traditional virus detection

While traditional antivirus programs focus on detecting malicious files, NordVPN's new tool also identifies and blocks phishing websites. These sites mimic legitimate ones to steal personal information like login credentials or bank details.

Machine learning models detect threats

NordVPN uses internally developed machine learning models to detect fraudulent sites. These models are trained to recognize different types of threats, allowing the tool to intervene during navigation before any harm occurs.

Antivirus monitors downloads and blocks malicious content

The tool also analyzes files being downloaded from the internet. If a file is identified as malicious, it is either quarantined or deleted, depending on the user's settings. This prevents users from accidentally opening harmful files.

Real-time protection against ads and trackers

In addition to blocking malicious content, NordVPN's antivirus also filters intrusive ads and tracking elements. This helps protect user privacy and improves the overall browsing experience by reducing unwanted interruptions.

Combined security features in one application

NordVPN's new antivirus works alongside its virtual private network (VPN) service. The VPN encrypts internet connections, while the antivirus handles online threats. However, the antivirus can function independently of the VPN.

Black Friday discount available for NordVPN

Currently, NordVPN is offering up to 78% off its subscriptions and three months of free service for Black Friday. This includes a 30-day satisfaction guarantee, especially for the Premium plan, which adds these security features to the standard VPN service.

New pricing for NordVPN's Premium plan

The Premium plan is now available for 4.79 euros per month, including tax, for 27 months, totaling 129.28 euros. This is a reduction from the previous price of 5.39 euros per month.
