For ten years, Courrier international and Le Monde have organized an event called Forum Expat, aimed at helping people living abroad in France. Now, for the fourth year, they have introduced a new event: the Expat Evening. This evening of conferences and meetings will take place on Thursday, October 15, 2026, starting at 7:00 PM in the auditorium of the Le Monde group, located at 67, avenue Pierre-Mendès-France, 75013 Paris. The event is designed to provide practical advice and support for individuals navigating life as expatriates. The Expat Evening will feature three round table discussions with experts in expatriation. These sessions will cover important topics such as health, administrative procedures, schooling, and insurance. The first session, titled "The Canadian Dream: How to Make It a Reality?" will be presented by the Canadian embassy from 7:00 PM to 7:35 PM. This session aims to provide insights into the process of moving to and settling in Canada. The second session, "Be Reassured, Be Insured," will be held from 7:40 PM to 8:25 PM and will be presented by Malakoff Humanis, a major French insurance company, in collaboration with the European and International Social Security Liaison Center (Cleiss). This discussion will focus on the importance of insurance and social security for expatriates living in different countries. The final session, "Being French Abroad: What It Means (Administratively)," will be presented by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs from 8:30 PM to 9:15 PM. This session will explore the administrative aspects of maintaining French nationality while living abroad. Participants can register for the event and submit questions through the provided link. The Expat Evening aims to create a supportive environment where expatriates can gain valuable information and connect with experts and fellow expatriates.
