City divided into five sectors

Castelnau-le-Lez has divided itself into five sectors—Nord, Sud, Est, Ouest, and Europe—to create new neighborhood councils. This reorganization is intended to better manage local issues and improve communication between residents and the government.

Purpose of the initiative

The initiative aims to promote dialogue between residents and elected officials on daily issues such as traffic, security, infrastructure, and living environment. These councils are meant to provide a platform for discussing and addressing local concerns directly.

Mayor’s statement

Mayor Julien Miro (Renaissance) stated that the goal is to create dialogue, noting that residents want to be heard and listened to. He emphasized the importance of involving citizens in decision-making processes that affect their daily lives.

Voluntary participation

The initiative is voluntary, and the different sensitivities of the municipal council, including oppositions, will be represented in these councils. This approach ensures a broader range of perspectives and encourages inclusive governance.
