Spin-off series to debut next year

A spin-off series titled Frisco King is set to debut as early as the beginning of next year, according to recent reports. The series will serve as a continuation of Tulsa King, with Samuel L. Jackson reprising his role as Russell Lee Washington Jr., a former cellmate of the protagonist, Dwight Manfredi, played by Sylvester Stallone in the original series. Stallone is expected to make a cameo appearance in one or two episodes of the spin-off.

Production already completed

The production of Frisco King has already been completed, with filming having taken place prior to the announcement. The series, originally planned to be titled NOLA King and set in New Orleans, Louisiana, has been relocated to Frisco, Texas, hence the change in title.

Taylor Sheridan to write all episodes

Taylor Sheridan, the creator of Yellowstone and the original Tulsa King series, will write all episodes of Frisco King, a departure from his previous approach where he only wrote the first episode of Tulsa King before handing over to other showrunners.

New cast members and trailer release

The cast of Frisco King includes Asa German, who will play the protégé of Samuel L. Jackson's character, and Kai Caster, who will portray a hotel employee recruited by Jackson's gang. Lilah Pate and Savanna Gann will play two cheerleaders described as both attractive and dangerous. The first trailer for Frisco King has been released, offering a glimpse into the series.

Original series available on Paramount+
