Candidate criticizes government response

Natacha Polony, a presidential candidate in France, accused the current government of letting student anger escalate by failing to respond to the demands of high school students from the start of their protest movement.

Proposed education reforms

Polony pledged to introduce "a major school programming law" if she is elected president, aiming to overhaul the structure and content of school curricula across the country.

Salary increase for teachers

She also promised a 20 to 30 percent raise for teachers, should she win the presidency in 2027, as part of her broader plan to improve the education sector.

Focus on student demands

Polony emphasized that her approach would prioritize addressing the concerns raised by students, whom she believes were ignored for too long by the current administration.
