Lyon to host Angers in Ligue 1

On Sunday, November 1, 2026, Olympique Lyonnais (OL) will host Angers in the ninth round of Ligue 1, the top French football league. The match is part of the regular season, where teams compete for league positions and European qualification spots.

Injury hits Lyon's lineup

Bad news has struck the Lyon squad as Tyler Morton, a key player, has suffered an injury that is expected to keep him out of action for an extended period. This development could affect the team's strategy and performance in the upcoming match.

Impact of Morton's absence

Tyler Morton's injury may force Lyon to adjust its lineup and tactics for the game against Angers. His absence could impact the team's midfield balance, prompting coach Peter Bosz to consider alternative players or formations.

Focus on recovery and preparation

Despite the setback, Lyon's coaching staff is likely focusing on ensuring Morton receives proper medical attention and begins his recovery process. Meanwhile, the team is preparing for the match against Angers to maintain their position in the league table.
