The Geekom AX8 Max is currently available as part of Amazon’s Early Prime Day deals, offering a discounted price for a compact mini PC that has shown strong performance in tests for everyday desktop tasks. This mini PC is designed to be both well-built and upgradeable, making it suitable for productivity, content creation, and multitasking. It features high-speed connectivity options, including dual 2.5GbE LAN ports and two 40Gbps USB4 ports, which are ideal for users who need fast data transfer speeds or multiple device connections. The AX8 Max is equipped with a Ryzen 7 8745HS processor, Radeon 780M graphics, 16GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 1TB SSD, allowing it to handle a wide range of computing tasks efficiently. Currently, the Geekom AX8 Max is priced at $584.10 on Amazon, which is a 10% discount from its original listed price of $649. A four-star review by Alastair highlights the device as "a great option for any office," noting that the fast SSD and strong CPU and GPU performance make it capable of handling multimedia editing tasks as well as routine office work. However, it’s worth mentioning that the AX8 Max was previously available at a lower price of $499 in October 2025, suggesting that this current discount may not be the lowest it has ever been. The Geekom AX8 Max is recommended for users looking for a compact, upgradeable Windows mini PC with robust connectivity and enough power to handle productivity, content creation, and multitasking. Its dual 2.5GbE LAN ports and two USB4 ports make it particularly appealing for those who need high-speed networking or external storage solutions. However, it may not be the best choice for dedicated gamers who require high-end performance without the need for an external GPU, as the AX8 Max's built-in graphics might not be sufficient for the latest high-demand games. In summary, the Geekom AX8 Max is a versatile and well-equipped mini PC that offers a compelling balance of performance, connectivity, and upgradeability. While it may not be ideal for all users, especially those focused on gaming, it provides an excellent option for those who need a compact and powerful machine for office, content creation, or general computing tasks. The current discount makes it a worthwhile consideration for those looking to upgrade their computing setup.
