A football supporter from Marseille described experiencing a sexual assault during a match between Marseille and Paris FC on Sunday, September 6, at the Vélodrome. The incident took place during the third round of Ligue 1, France's top football league, with the match ending in a 2-3 victory for Paris FC. The woman, who has supported the team for 20 years and usually sits at the North bend near the Dodgers' canopy, said a man sat close to her during the first half and brushed against her buttocks. This happened three times, with the man moving to the side of the Fanatics area before returning to his original seat. During halftime, the woman sat on the back of her seat to rest her legs and noticed a sticky substance on her shirt and pants. Initially, she thought it was spit, but later realized it was human semen, which had a distinct smell. She described feeling "dirty, like a piece of trash" and said she had difficulty rinsing the substance off due to the long trip home. In the second half, she tried to enjoy the match despite her father's concerns. After the game, she went to the restrooms and confirmed that the substance was not spit, realizing she had been sexually assaulted. She reported the incident to security, but a woman told her they could not take action. While waiting for the bus, she spoke to other supporters about what had happened. The woman said she would not give up on the case and emphasized that the individuals involved were ordinary people with no visible links to Marseille. She contacted the police and the Dodgers' supporter group to prevent such incidents in the future. She also warned that such behavior can happen anywhere and that perpetrators often feel they can act without consequences, especially when children are nearby.
