Curfew for minors in Orléans

A curfew has been imposed on minors under 15 in Orléans for Saturday and Sunday due to planned demonstrations against the National Rally (RN) congress. The measure was announced by Mayor Serge Grouard to prevent disturbances and ensure public safety during large gatherings.

Expected large demonstrations

The demonstrations are expected to be significant, with between 10,000 and 15,000 counter-demonstrators anticipated. Orléans, a city with over 100,000 inhabitants, is preparing for a large influx of demonstrators from across France.

Transport and security preparations

Several buses have already left for the Loiret region in the early morning, according to BFMTV teams. Authorities are conducting numerous checks on main roads leading to Orléans to manage the flow of people and ensure security.

Anti-fascist mobilization efforts

An "anti-fascist village" supported by the CGT union and left-wing political figures is being organized on site. Approximately fifty organizations have called for counter-mobilization to oppose the National Rally congress.

Law enforcement actions

On Friday, October 23, law enforcement seized several items during a control operation at the Orleans-Nord toll. This indicates heightened security measures in anticipation of the demonstrations.

National Rally congress attendance

The National Rally congress, taking place at the Zenith of Orléans on Saturday and the Co'Met Arena on Sunday, is expected to welcome about 5,000 militants on Saturday and double that number on Sunday. Demonstrations will be prohibited in the city on Sunday to manage the situation.
