Xgimi wrapped up 2024 with the French launch of the Elfin Flip, a budget-friendly projector that did not include 4K resolution or Google TV. These shortcomings were corrected in July with the release of the Xgimi Elfin Flip 4K, a more advanced and pricier version, even though it came with a 15% price drop. The Xgimi Elfin Flip 4K offers an ergonomic design, easy setup, 4K UHD resolution at 1,600 ISO lumens, and the integration of Google TV. It was initially priced at 999 euros, but is now available for 849 euros on Amazon. If this deal is no longer active, users can find other deals related to the Xgimi Elfin Flip 4K, with the table updating automatically. The Xgimi Elfin Flip 4K is designed for portability, with a length of 24.5 cm, a height of 25.4 cm, and a weight of 1.55 kg. It includes a rotating foot that allows for an inclination up to 150 degrees, as well as trapezoid correction and automatic focusing. The device is described as "plug-and-play," meaning it is easy to set up and use. However, it does not include a battery and requires a power cable located under the device. Connectivity options include two USB-A ports, two HDMI ports (one of which supports eARC), and a combo jack, all positioned on the edge parallel to the projection lens, allowing for easy cable connections without folding the device. Compared to the original Elfin Flip, the 4K version provides a much higher resolution, increased brightness from 400 ISO lumens to 1,600 ISO lumens, and automatic color adjustment based on the projection surface. This means the projector can now be used in more varied lighting conditions, not just in dark rooms. Google TV adds a library of apps, including various streaming platforms. A cheaper version of the Xgimi Elfin Flip 4K is available for 300 euros, which was tested and reviewed.
