The Meze 99 Neo headphones are currently available for 139 euros, which is a 21% discount compared to the average price seen in the past month, according to a recent report. This reduced price is currently offered on the Son-Video.com website. The 99 Neo is an updated version of the Meze 99 Classics, a well-known model from the Romanian audio company. Although the Neo is priced lower than the Classics (249 euros versus 309 euros), it retains all the key features of the original, including design, comfort, and sound quality. The Neo also introduces some sonic improvements and offers a more budget-friendly option for consumers. The 99 Neo is praised for its high-quality build, comfort, and included accessories. It delivers balanced sound with good clarity and spatial effects, making it suitable for both casual and more serious listening. However, it has a few drawbacks. The volume cannot be adjusted via the remote control, and the hands-free kit could use some improvements. Additionally, the headphones offer limited noise isolation, which may be a concern for users who plan to use them in noisy environments. The price reduction was calculated by comparing the lowest price available on a given day with the average of the lowest prices offered by all retailers last month. This calculation excludes prices from stores with unclear VAT policies, often referred to as "gray" stores, which are typically associated with imports from countries like China. As an alternative to the Meze 99 Neo, the Sennheiser HD 560S is highlighted. Part of the HD 500 series, the HD 560S is noted for its extreme comfort and clear, transparent sound. It is considered a versatile and reliable option, offering excellent sound quality at a reasonable price. One report mentions that while the HD 560S could have come with more accessories, the trade-off is considered acceptable given the high sound quality and affordability. Both the Meze 99 Neo and the Sennheiser HD 560S offer strong value for consumers looking for quality headphones, though each has its own set of features and limitations.
