Lady Gaga and her fiancé, Michael Polansky, have announced the birth of their daughter, Rose Bean Polansky, according to a birth certificate obtained by TMZ. The baby was born on June 9 in Los Angeles at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, at 11:19 PM. The delivery was performed by Dr. Robert Katz, a well-known obstetrician who previously delivered the child of singer Ciara and NFL player Russell Wilson. The name Rose holds personal significance for Lady Gaga, whose birth name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta. Rose was the middle name of her late maternal grandmother, Veronica Rose "Ronnie" Ferrie Bissett, a key figure in her life. Additionally, the name appears in one of Gaga’s tattoos—“La Vie En Rose,” a French phrase meaning “life in pink,” which she performed in the movie A Star Is Born. Gaga and Polansky, who met at a birthday party for tech entrepreneur Sean Parker in 2019, became engaged in April 2024. Their relationship has largely remained private, with Gaga's limited public presence fueling speculation about her pregnancy. Photos released by Page Six in August showed the couple with their newborn daughter, confirming the arrival. Lady Gaga has previously expressed her desire to become a mother, calling it “the next chapter of her life.” During an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in October, she described motherhood as her “next starring role.” The couple has also hinted at wedding plans, with Gaga revealing earlier this year that they were planning to marry after spending much of the year traveling together. She once joked with Jimmy Kimmel about considering a courthouse elopement followed by a meal of Chinese food. Gaga has praised Polansky as her “best friend in the whole world” and noted that he has “empowered me as a woman in music with a beautiful partner that has my back every day.”
