New Denza model arrives in Europe

The Denza Z9 GT, a new vehicle from the Chinese automaker BYD, is set to launch in Europe with advanced autonomous driving technology. This model is the first from the Denza brand to be introduced on the continent and is designed to compete in the growing European market.

God's Eye technology included

The Z9 GT will feature God's Eye, an autonomous driving system developed by BYD. This system will be officially unveiled at the 2026 Paris Motor Show and is expected to be available in Europe by 2027. The technology is intended to assist drivers in urban environments.

Level 2 automation explained

God's Eye is classified as level 2 automation, meaning it can handle some driving tasks but still requires the driver to remain attentive and ready to take control. It does not allow the vehicle to operate completely without human supervision.

Competing in a tech race

BYD and its subsidiary Denza are entering a competitive landscape in Europe. Other Chinese companies, like Xpeng, are also developing similar technologies, such as the Navigation Guided Pilot (NGP), which is expected to arrive in Europe in early 2027. BYD aims to stay ahead in this race.

Advanced computing power

The God's Eye system in the Denza Z9 GT is based on the Xuanji A3, a 4-nanometer chip developed in China. This chip provides a maximum computing power of 700 TOPS, allowing the system to process large amounts of environmental data efficiently.
