Xiaomi has introduced three new smartphones this season: the Poco F9 Ultra, the Poco F9 Pro, and the Poco X8. These models have been added to Xiaomi’s lineup of high-performance devices, which are known for offering advanced features at relatively affordable prices. Just two days after the official launch, Xiaomi is running a special promotion, reducing the price of the top-tier Poco F9 Ultra by nearly 25%. The phone, which originally cost 1,203 euros, is now available for less than 900 euros on Amazon and Xiaomi’s official website. This discount is notable, especially considering that the previous model, the Poco F8 Ultra, was launched at a lower price, possibly due to a global shortage of RAM components earlier in the year. The Poco F9 Ultra is equipped with a 6.9-inch AMOLED screen that offers a resolution of 2,608 x 1,200 pixels and a maximum brightness of 4,500 nits, with even higher brightness in HDR formats. The screen has a refresh rate of 185 Hz, which ensures an extremely smooth visual experience. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and includes 16 GB of RAM. It also features an 8,050 mAh battery, which is larger than the battery in the previous model. The phone is available in a 16 GB + 512 GB configuration and was initially priced at 1,203 euros before the current promotion. In terms of design, the Poco F9 Ultra has a sleek, modern look with flat panels, rounded edges, and nearly invisible screen borders. The camera module is slightly larger than that of the Poco F8 Ultra, but it includes a high-performance 200 MP main camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens for 5x zoom. The device is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and has an IP68 rating, making it resistant to dust and water. Inside, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip is paired with a dedicated graphics chip called VisionBoost D8, which enhances gaming performance on supported titles. For audio, Xiaomi has partnered with Bose to include two 1115D speakers and a subwoofer, creating a 2.1 channel audio system that delivers richer sound. The phone supports fast charging options, including 100 W wired charging, 50 W wireless charging, and reverse charging capabilities of up to 27 W wired and 22.5 W wireless.
