Benoît Saint Denis, Cédric Doumbè, and Paul Dena have lent their voices to the upcoming film Street Fighter: From the Cage to the Cinema, set to debut in theaters on October 14. The movie is based on the iconic Street Fighter video game franchise, known for its intense martial arts battles and memorable characters. These three French athletes, known for their prowess in combat sports, are providing voice dubbing for key characters in the film, blending their real-life experience with the world of gaming and cinema. Benoît Saint Denis, a former French special forces member and MMA fighter known as "God of War," will voice Zangief, one of the most recognizable characters in the Street Fighter series. Zangief is a powerful wrestler with a massive build, known for his devastating holds and immense strength. His character aligns well with Saint Denis’s own reputation as a strong, no-nonsense fighter with a background in military service and combat sports. Cédric Doumbè, a former international kickboxing champion and current MMA fighter, will provide the voice for Balrog, a character based on the real-life boxer 50 Cent. In the game, Balrog is a formidable and unpredictable fighter whose punches are his primary weapon. Doumbè, who transitioned from kickboxing to MMA, brings his own experience as a fighter with a flair for showmanship and a reputation for delivering powerful knockouts to the role. Paul Dena, a rising star in MMA, will voice Joe, a character played by Alexander Volkanovski, a current UFC champion. Dena, who turned professional in 2025 after competing in amateur and European championships, has quickly made a name for himself with his aggressive fighting style and knockout power. According to Paramount, Dena represents a new generation of athletes for whom gaming, combat sports, and social media are deeply intertwined.
