In a recent affordability comparison, Rick (@lesnums_bonplan) highlighted the Logitech G305 as the best budget mouse, currently available for 24.99 € at Amazon. Based on testing 68 models in the laboratory, the G305 is noted as the top performer in the budget category. The mouse is described as being very inspired by the Logitech Pro Gaming model but switches to a wireless design, removing the cord. To keep the price low, the Swiss manufacturer has removed the backlight, making it the cheapest of its "Lightspeed" mice. The Logitech G305 is noted as compact and lightweight for a wireless mouse, with serious construction and a robust appearance. It offers pleasant handling with well-placed buttons, an energy-efficient and high-performance optical sensor, and responsive buttons. It also provides good autonomy with a single AA battery. However, it is noted that the mouse is rather intended for right-handed users despite its symmetrical shape, as the buttons are only on the left side. The plastic used can be slippery, and there are no non-slip inserts. It operates on battery power and cannot be used with a cable. The wireless version of the Logitech Pro Gaming retains all the qualities of its model, offering equivalent performance. It is considered a good choice for wireless gaming without compromise, remaining quite light and having good autonomy.
